With a completely revamped Battle System, Metin2 is one of the best in any real time FPS/TPS MMORPG to date. The action is fast and furious, while attacking anything your weapon makes contact with. Such a battle system is a new kind of fighting style as the player is able to attack multiple targets simultaneously. Fighting moves include cut, split, bent, prick and projectiles. Metin2 simulates the speed and fierceness of real world fighting.
Comparison: I would say Metin2 yang is more or less like a combination of Dynasty Warriors and 9dragons. I say Dynasty warriors because of the multiple amount of MOBS you run into and the fighting is all interactive there is no point and click here. There can be 12 monsters in front of you and when you attack using the space bar (no mouse here only if you want to) your character cuts anything and everything in front of it, thats just like dynasty warriors. I also mentioned 9dragons because it revolves around that theme of martial arts and the scenery used in Metin2 is more or less the same as 9dragons.
First impression: My first impression of the game was "Am I getting into another boring , generic, Chinese martial arts themed game?". I seriously doubted the games potential at first glance. But I was proven wrong once I downloaded the game. The lack of loading screen artwork (it`s not as vast and colorful as other games) kind of threw me off and I started to wonder "Is this going to be something like Martial Heroes or Kal Online?". Once I created my character (I choose a warrior by the way) and pressed start, I was blown away. The graphics of the game were more then decent which was a major plus in my book but then what really got me was the battle system.
It looks kinda scary since each monster is always in a group with 2 or 3 more, being that no monster is by himself like other games.
Example: So lets say I attack 1 wild dog(which is the first monster you run into) there would be 2 more running towards me right after it.
But their battle system is that out of a console game like dynasty warriors which i mentioned earliar. You use the space bar to attack or the mouse if you wish but you do not click on one specific enemy and start pressing your hot keys like crazy, not in this game. In this game with one click your character swings and what ever is within slashing range will get hit, same goes for skills Metin2 yang.
